Dusk til Dawn opened in Bristol in 1998 specialising in handmade brass & iron beds, We soon discovered that for every traditional metal bed we sold we were being asked for a contemporary wood bed, so we began to stock high quality contemporary beds in solid woods that would compliment our handmade brass and iron beds as a contemporary option, We also complimented our beds with quality mattresses and matching bedroom furniture.

Still trading 10 years later we still offer a unique collection of contemporary beds and contemporary furniture with victorian style iron beds. We still do not feel that well designed contemporay beds and furniture are offered to the public, our industry still seems to have an obbsession with price. We prefer to look back on the days when furniture was purchased for a life. We believe Good quality design complimented with the quality solid materials creates timeless furniture.

The traditional handmade metal beds we supply alongside our contemporary beds are unique because they are still produced using hand crafted techniques and traditional cast iron bed fixings. These beds were supplied to us originally by Enchanted House, a small traditional bed making company in Cornwall. Unfortunatley this company fell into the hands of a large multi national company in 2001 who disolved the business. In Dec 2004 Dusk til Dawn took the opportunity to purchase the plant and equitment that remained after the closure and we re-negotiating a new lease on the factory and restarted production in Jan 2005 proudly carrying on producing Enchanted House Beds for trade sale.

For the first few years we carried on selling to UK bed trade and the export market whilst continuing to sell the brass & iron traditional beds beds in our shop as "Enchanted House beds". In 2008 we took the oppurtunity to create our own collection of traditional beds "The Heritage Collection" and we have co - signed our shops with this new brand "The Heritage Bed Company".

We now have our own Heritage website, and a cosy new shop in cornwall and we continue selling our unique combination of cast iron beds alongside our contemporary beds.

Heritage metal beds are all manufactured bespoke in our factory in Cornwall, We use traditional Victorian manufacturing techniques and cast fixings We believe our beds are the best Traditional beds available not only in the UK but the whole world !
